Dear friends and colleagues,

Please find attached (Workshop.pdf, 831Kb) to this message the announcement
and call for papers for a 2-Day workshop on "Fundamental Issues and Future
Research Directions for Parallel Mechanisms and Manipulators" which we are
organizing in Quebec City on October 3-4, 2002. Please note that the workshop
will be taking place immediately after the 2002 ASME DETC, which are held in
Montreal, and that transportation will be arranged between Montreal and
Quebec City for participants wanting to attend both events.

This workshop promises to be a unique opportunity to bring together
researchers and engineers working in the field of parallel mechanisms,
machines and manipulators. Please take a moment to read the announcement and
visit our web site at http://robot.me.gatech.edu/WORKSHOP/workshop.html.

We appreciate any comments or suggestions you may have for the workshop.
We would also like to ask your help in passing this announcement on to any of
your colleagues who may be interested in this workshop.

We are looking forward to receiving your contribution and to greeting in
beautiful Quebec City.
